A busy and productive week

It's Friday and I am reflecting on the blessings of being retired and being busier than ever.
My Creative Inspiration business is now official.  I told the IRS it is and that makes it so.   I am glad to have filed my tax return on time for the first time in a number of years.

Tonight I asked HG what he wanted for dinner and he said grilled shrimp.  Well I have not ever done that before but I was willing to give it a try.  After deveining the shrimp, I stuffed it with jalapeno strips and wrapped it in bacon and then headed to the grill.  Me and the cheap gas grill we have do not get along.  It is always flaring up and burning everything.  Tonight I stayed with it, watching carefully.  After a bit I moved the shrimp to the upper rack and then grilled some steak.  Everything was close to perfect.  That was my version of surf and turf!

Thanks for reading my blog.

I am not new to the blogging world.  However, it has mostly been in reading the blog of others.
I am now ready to venture out into my own blog world.  I have two blogs now.  One being this on, JNeez House, my personal blog; and the other being Creative Inspiration, my business blog.  I am anxious to have subscribers.

Wedding Dress

I am still not very diligent about this blog thing.  I spent lots of time reading other people's blogs and am envious of their creativity.  Most of my creativity these days is dedicated to making Suzan's wedding dress.   I have bitten off and lot more than I can chew.  I told hubs that it is like putting on a steep pitched roof - lots of layers, materials hard to handle and very difficult.   I am making progress but it doesn't show much yet.   I am going to Suzan's for a fitting this weekend so I MUST have it ready.

A Beautiful Sunday Morning!

It is 57 degrees outside, a small breeze and sunny.....wow it is just perfect weather as far as I am concerned.  Today is the Lord's day and I look forward to sing praises and remembering his death and sacrifice for my sins.  Thank you Jesus.

It will be a busy week - 2 cousins have birthdays (Ginny and Toi), I need to hem the flower girl dress for Jessica's wedding and prepare and serve the bridesmaid's brunch for the wedding.  Plus there is the daughter's wedding dress in progress and I am teaching a Stampin' Up workshop.  Whew what a week!

Suzan and Terrell will be here sometime this week for the wedding.  I always look foward to having my children home.

Inspired by my daughter in-law to be

Well I am now 8 months into retirement and just now posting again.  However, my daughter in-law to be, Lacy has started a blog and that has motivated me.  H.G and I will have an increase in our family (the number of children is almost double-ing.)  Lacy and Eddy will be married July 2 and Suzan and Terrell will marry October 22.  Yes, two weddings in one year!  Whew!
What a nice addition to our family, which includes HG's son David and wife Beth and 2 girls, Alexi and LeeAnn.

My First Post of Retirement

I have been absent a while in my blogging. I retired September 1, 2010 and could not be happier. I am really into home-keeping and living a normal life. I am so blessed and give praise to an awesome God through His Son, Jesus Christ, my savior.
